I am a philosopher and artist. With Violonisto, I am developing an art form of my own in which artistic photography, philosophical writing, design, education and music work together. My aim is to bring more of the Good, the True and the Beautiful into the world and to open spaces in which people can wonder, ask questions and continue thinking for themselves.
Born in Tuttlingen, my path led from the Immanuel Kant Grammar School in Tuttlingen and a year of voluntary social service with Lebenshilfe Nürnberg to the Munich School of Philosophy. There I studied philosophy with an introduction to theology and completed my degree as a Magister Artium.
My main fields are anthropological psychology, the history of ancient philosophy and the philosophy of language. My studies were complemented by training and practical experience in education and counselling, psychodrama, rhetoric, presentation, body language, course design and systemic counselling. I wrote my master’s thesis under Prof. Dr med. Eckhard Frick SJ on playful learning motivation among adults.
Violonisto began in 2019 with artistic photography. Since 2021, it has developed into an art form of its own in which photography and philosophy interact. Images, texts and design form the foundation; playful learning in flow and music provide an approach that brings together knowledge, personal experience and resonance.
The project Anthropology – 12 Walks through the Philosopher’s Garden on the Upper Danube was created between 2019 and 2025. It led to exhibitions in Fridingen an der Donau, Mühlheim an der Donau and Meßkirch, as well as conversations, readings and walks, a calendar and several book editions. The new German paperback edition was published in 2026; further languages and the Midi app are in preparation.
Since October 2025, I have been working independently with Violonisto as a philosopher and artist in Fridingen an der Donau. I create projects, books, images and events for people who want to engage with philosophy in a clear, thoughtful and aesthetically engaging form.
