A thought by Plato
“The divine is beauty, wisdom, goodness and all that is of that kind. These above all nourish the soul’s wings and make them grow […]”
Plato, Phaedrus 246d
Violonisto
Philosophy for everyone
in the spirit of the Good, the True and the Beautiful
in flow

Good images · True texts · Beautiful design
What defines Violonisto
For me, Violonisto has a dual purpose: I want to bring more of the Good, the True and the Beautiful into the world. At the same time, I want to enable people to reflect and learn in a playful atmosphere of flow.
Good images awaken wonder. True texts – quotations from major thinkers as well as my own academically grounded writing – invite people to think for themselves. Beautiful design is meant to be inviting and to give ideas the space they deserve.
At Violonisto, playful learning in flow begins with wonder. It enables us to step outside our everyday frame of mind. During the inspiration phase, the subject can be grasped holistically and in accessible language. During the integration phase, questions and opportunities for further exploration allow each person to engage with the subject independently and at their own level. Optional music creates a space of resonance and supports this process of reflection as water supports a swimmer.

Impact
Violonisto opens protected spaces for thought and resonance. They invite us to become attentive, understand connections and reflect on our own experience.
Wonder, understanding and self-reflection can thus lead to living processes of learning – in our own thinking and in conversation with others. All of this serves a more profound way of living.

Themes of human life
Projects
Each project is devoted to a fundamental theme of human life. Images, texts, music and educational approaches come together as a whole, opening up different ways to discover and explore a subject in greater depth.
The first is Anthropology – What Is the Human Being? It explores the fundamental dimensions of being human and asks what connects people across periods, cultures and ways of life.

Products
Each project gives rise to books, online courses, apps and other products. They make it possible to explore the themes independently, pursue ideas further and integrate what has been learned into one’s own life.

Formats
Violonisto offers tried-and-tested formats that have already been presented successfully. They include lectures, readings, seminars, exhibitions, philosophical conversations and philosophical walks. Different formats can be selected and combined to suit the occasion.
If you would like to book one of these formats, you can select the appropriate offer here.

Ethos
Violonisto means “violinist” in Esperanto and refers personally to me, Andreas Stefan Geiger, as the real person behind the project.
At the same time, the name represents Esperanto’s neutrality and equality. It carries a humanistic spirit of connection among all humankind: people meet as equals across national, religious and ideological boundaries.
Such encounters can give rise to unity in diversity. Origin, faith and worldview retain their own voices while finding common ground in our shared humanity. For Violonisto, this opens the horizon of a cosmic spirituality: the human being is part of a greater living whole that we are called to understand, shape and take responsibility for together.
