Art in the Museum
The first exhibition opened with a vernissage, reading and philosophical conversation. A finissage concluded the first cycle in March 2020.
Anthropology
The project was experienced in various places and in various forms: as an exhibition, lecture, reading, conversation, walk and offering for children. Images, texts and the didactics of playful learning in flow remained the common core.
2019–2023
The exhibitions formed the spatial centre of the project. The twelve image‑text works invited participants to take time, follow a thought and continue thinking at their own pace.

21 November 2019 – 8 March 2020 · Ifflinger Castle, Fridingen on the Danube
The first exhibition opened with a vernissage, reading and philosophical conversation. A finissage concluded the first cycle in March 2020.

19 July 2020 – 1 October 2023 · Church ruin Maria Hilf on the Welschenberg, Mühlheim on the Danube
The works were displayed over several summers in the open choir space of the church ruin. The special place between landscape, history and sky became a resonance space for images, questions and conversations.

6 September 2020 – 10 October 2021 · Schloss Meßkirch
At Schloss Meßkirch, the twelve themes were linked with a companion programme of conversations, lecture and offerings for children and young people. The concluding lecture already led to the subsequent project on happiness.
Uncovering the connection
Lectures opened a focused access to the question “What is a human?”. They linked the philosophical systematics with the images and places of the project.
18 October 2020 · Nürtingen
A lecture on Philosophical Anthropology in the Domnick Collection.
10 October 2021 · Schloss Meßkirch
The closing of the exhibition combined a review and lecture. It also served as a transition to the subsequent project on happiness.
Listening to texts, seeing images, engaging in conversation
25 September 2022 · Church ruin Maria Hilf on the Welschenberg
The first presentation of the e‑Book combined read chapters, conversation and a glass of sparkling wine with guitar music by Martin Schäfer, guitar and electric guitar teacher at the Tuttlingen Music School.
15 December 2024 · Domnick Collection, Nürtingen
The reading took place in the former private house and in the collection of the Domnick couple. The house, artworks and atmosphere became part of a focused evening.
18 May 2025 · Nikolaus Chapel, Ulm
In the Nikolaus Chapel, the images for the individual chapters were passed around and held up in the space. Thus a shared movement of seeing and hearing emerged between text, image and the special place.
Own questions at the centre
In the conversations the material was explained and linked with the participants’ experiences. This produced own questions and differing perspectives.
17 July 2020 · KEB Fridingen on the Danube
A conversation on Philosophical Anthropology as an immediate entry into the twelve themes.
21 November 2019 · Ifflinger Castle, Fridingen · 18 September 2020 · Schloss Meßkirch
The Long Night linked exhibition, reading and collective philosophising. It created time for questions that often remain unanswered in a short lecture.
Philosophy in one’s own life world
The system, images and materials remain unchanged; language and questions are instead tailored to the life world of young people. Instead of asking abstractly about what matters most, the question could be: “What do you do first when you come home from school?” Thus, in a playful atmosphere, space is created for personal thinking.
25 October 2020 · Schloss Meßkirch · a combined event for children and young people
4 August 2021 and 18 August 2022 · Welschenberg, Mühlheim an der Donau
Thinking in motion

27 May 2023 · Upper Danube
During the guided walk through the philosopher’s garden, the system was experienced directly at its places. At viewpoints, along paths and in shared conversation, image, text, movement and nature experience came together.
Also accessible regardless of place and time
During the Corona lockdown an online exhibition was created. Additionally, the YouTube lecture Anthropology in Overview opens up the fundamental systematics of the project. These formats complement the in‑person encounters and provide an initial access even from afar.
